Location: Beaconsfield, VIC Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary Package: $77,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience

About the Role The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality Thai dishes and support the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy commercial kitchen. Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, season and cook a range of food items and Thai dishes in accordance with menu standards Ensure food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard Portion food appropriately and maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation Assist with food preparation during service periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment Monitor cooking times and temperatures and ensure food is cooked safely and efficiently Store food safely and maintain stock rotation in accordance with kitchen procedures Assist with checking ingredients, stock levels and kitchen supplies Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas and comply with food safety and hygiene standards

Work effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service Assist senior kitchen staff with daily kitchen operations and menu preparation as required Requirements Relevant Diploma or Certificate IV qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen Experience in Thai cuisine will be highly regarded Good knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety practices Ability to work efficiently in a busy team environment Reliable, punctual and committed to quality food service
