Event Yard Hand / Equipment Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Event Yard Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing, maintaining, and delivering event equipment to ensure seamless event execution.

Based primarily in our yard/warehouse, you will also work on-site at events, assisting with setup and pack-down. If you enjoy physical work, being part of a team, and working in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, pack, and organise event equipment including frames, flooring, furniture, and fittings
• Load and unload trucks safely (manual handling and forklift operation)
• Ensure all loads meet legal transport requirements
• Assist with deliveries and on-site event setup and pack-down
• Clean, maintain, and repair equipment and yard facilities
• Conduct stocktakes and manage inventory storage
• Support wash bay operations (cleaning furniture and equipment)
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
• Work closely with supervisors to ensure daily operations run smoothly
• Complete basic administrative tasks (vehicle checks, reporting, documentation)

Skills & Experience

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
• Good communication skills across all levels

Required:

• Current manual driver’s licence
• Current forklift licence with 3–5 years’ experience
• Experience loading trucks to meet legal requirements
• Background in logistics, warehousing, or transport

Desirable:

• MR truck licence
• Welding experience
