The role

Are you passionate about customer service? At MidCoast Council, our community is our customer and is at the centre of everything we do. We are seeking a part-time Customer Service Officer based at our Tea Gardens Customer Service Point to support us in delivering quality outcomes for our community. This position will involve face-to-face and call-centre customer service duties as well as a range of administrative functions.

Your interpersonal skills, initiative, and adaptability will be essential in providing a positive customer experience in a fast-paced, high-volume customer service environment. As the first point of contact for MidCoast Council your professionalism and customer-centric approach will consistently represent our organisational values to our community. 

What you'll bring

    • Prior skills and experience in a customer service role.
    • Demonstrated experience in navigating a variety of software systems and administrative processes.
    • A friendly and approachable customer service professional with a genuine passion for providing a positive customer experience.
    • Exceptional team-work skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Remuneration: Commencing remuneration $33.97 p/h plus superannuation.

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre at 245 Myall Street Tea Gardens. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure:  Permanent part-time 35 hours per fortnight. Shifts will be between 8:30am and 4:30pm.

  • Week 1 of 2: 7 hours on a Monday and Tuesday
  • Week 2 of 2: 7 hours on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Closing date: Sunday 26 May 2024 at 11.30 pm.
