About the role

Our custodians are an important part of the delivery of live entertainment and events at BMEC by ensuring the facilities are well maintained and well presented for both hirers and patrons visiting the venue.

The successful candidates will be self-motivated and be able to proactively work around a calendar of events within the venue, responsible for general cleaning and maintenance duties inside and outside of BMEC.

This position requires the successful candidates to be available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. 

Key Requirements

  • A current Class C Drivers Licence 
  • A current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • Previous experience in a similar role 
  • Sound knowledge of appropriate handling use of cleaning chemicals
  • Sound knowledge of working at heights
  • Sound knowledge of operating small power tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends on a regular basis

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

Salary: $34.34 per hour + superannuation + penalty rates (if applicable)

Position Status: Casual 

Hours of work: As required
