Full-time Opportunity (35-hour week) 19-day 4-week cycle (Variable day Off)
Salary Ranging from $117,954.20 - $137,081.88 per annum + 11.5% Superannuation (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)

The Opportunity

As the Coordinator Procurement & Contracts the incumbent will be responsible for the Overseeing of Council’s procurement and tendering function and to ensure compliance with the Local Government Act and other relevant legislation, as well as provide high level support and advice to Council’s staff in relation to procurement and purchasing processes, ensuring compliance with Council’s policies and guidelines. You will provide effective management of Council’s contract register to ensure compliance with record keeping requirements and provide probity advice in relation Procurement activities in consultation with the CFO.

Essential Criteria

    1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, Purchasing, Contract Management or Public Administration and/or minimum 10 years' experience.
    2. Demonstrated experience in a Senior Procurement Position within a large multi-purpose organisation.
    3. Sound knowledge of procurement, tendering policies and contract management.
    4. Ability to work across the organisation to understand business requirements as applicable to purchasing and procurements processes.
    5. A high level of interpersonal, presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
    6. Demonstrated capacity to coordinate and mentor staff
    7. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    8. High attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently within deadlines.
    9. Current NSW Driver’s Licence (Class C).
    10. Be willing to undergo a National Police Check before commencement
