Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Cooee Heritage Centre Officer to join the Growth and Liveabilty team!
This position is essential for creating a welcoming and informative experience for visitors while also contributing to the promotion of local tourism and community engagement in the Gilgandra region.

- Salary range $34.48 - $41.38 plus loading and shift allowances
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Customer Service Officer at the Cooee Heritage Information Centre, your role would involve various tasks related to the day-to-day operation of the center, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service, promoting local tourism, and supplying community information.
The successful applicants will be part of a team rostered to work between Monday to Sunday.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU
- Minimum two (2) years work related experience in customer service and/or retail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds with sound written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to undertake administration tasks including purchasing, sales and mailing
- Certificate III in Business Administration (or customer service equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Work Health and Safety issues
- Possess a passion for Gilgandra and an understanding of tourism, arts and or gallery environments
- Current Drivers Licence
- Local knowledge of the Gilgandra and surrounding region
- Tourism or arts and culture experience
