About the Role:

The role requires the incumbent to support community development, wellbeing and resilience in the shire through capacity building and the implementation of strategic plans. You will be working collaboratively across Council, with service providers and community organisations to deliver community development opportunities.

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or related field and relevant work experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience with cultural or community strategic planning.
  3. Project and Event management skills and experience including managing grants, contracts and budgets.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in capacity building and community development activities.
  5. Advance communication and interpersonal skills, that include the ability to lead and influence
  6. Ability to work flexibly to attend/manage programs and events.
  7. Experience with Microsoft Office Computer applications and ability to learn new systems
  8. Maintain unrestricted C Class drivers' licence
  9. Current Working with Children Check
