Community Development Officer
2 x Full-time positions – Ongoing
Position Number: 2557, 2558 Location: Queanbeyan
The Package: $1,546.64 - $1,709.00 gross per week + 11% super. (Evaluated as Grade 12 of the QPRC Salary System 2023) and guaranteed increases of 3.5% in 2024-25 and 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.
Full-time– 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements may apply.
Are you passionate about collaborating with your local community to facilitate meaningful development projects? Council is seeking two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Community Team as a Community Development Officers.
In this role you will:
- Source and apply for grant funding to support community programs.
- Work with various community groups, including youth, people with disability, young families, and seniors.
- Research, plan, and deliver community development projects and events.
- Promote community safety and crime prevention strategies.
We are looking for someone who:
- Possesses relevant qualifications and/or experience in Community Services and engagement.
- Has experience in community-based project management.
- Demonstrates strong capability in the use of the Microsoft suite of programs.
- Has strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships across QPRC and the wider community.
