The Opportunity
Bellingen Shire Council has an exciting Capital Works delivery program that will be delivered in the coming years.
Council is currently replacing 33 bridges, spending over $20M on its renewal program and spending a further $40M on roads over the next few years.
As a Civil Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of various capital and maintenance projects within the Bellingen Shire. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community members to deliver high quality infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our growing community.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management or related discipline and demonstrated experience in Civil Engineering in a local or state government environment, Project Management, undertaking tendering processes and management of contractors, and experience with road and associated assets in the civil engineering sector.
To succeed in the role, you will have demonstrated ability set priorities and plan work allocated, the ability to coordinate several projects concurrently, and the ability to establish and maintain relationships and partnerships across functions, organisations, and with community members.

Annual salary of $115,560 to $131,774 (plus super and 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance).

Australian Temporary Residents may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
