About the role

This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours a week Monday to Friday at the Nowra Administration Building.

This role is responsible for undertaking the investigation, design, technical specification, quantity and cost estimation for a range of infrastructure projects as well as engaging and managing consultants to deliver design solutions.

Duties

Reporting directly to the Coordinator Engineering Design, the focus of this position is to:

  • Undertake traffic investigations and technical assessments to provide reports and recommendations.
  • Engage and manage Consultants as needed to deliver all the required aspects of assigned projects.
  • Make complex design and project management decisions, balancing competing priorities in liaison with project stakeholders, to achieve project goals of scope, time and budget.
  • Adapt to evolving circumstances and urgent work requests by managing internal Client expectations and developing project plans to deliver work in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the position, you will have:

  • 4 year Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant Degree; or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the delivery of civil infrastructure.
  • Eligibility for membership of Institute of Engineers.
  • Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship.

We are looking for someone with high level technical and critical thinking skills who can work collaboratively and balance competing workloads.
