Civil Design Officer
Permanent Full-time Position
35-hour work week - Variable Day off every 19 days 
Salary Ranging from $84,038.76 - $97,666.40 per annum + 11.5% Superannuation (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)

The Role

As a Civil Design Officer, you will be undertaking investigations, design, plan preparation, cost estimation, and all pre-construction planning of local government civil infrastructure projects in accordance with relevant drafting, engineering standards and environmental legislation, Council standards, guidelines and policies. Projects include roads, intersections, roundabouts, carparks, pedestrian facilities, shared paths, sporting & recreation facilities, stormwater drainage structures & pipelines.

 

Essential Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or relevant field or 5 years' experience working in a similar role
  2. Proficiency in the use of civil design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Civil Site Design and MS Suite
  3. Demonstrated ability in interpreting complex designs/plans and facilitating resolution through problem solving and critical thinking
  4. Understanding of civil engineering standards, guidelines, manuals, specifications
  5. Hold C Class drivers' licence and WHS Induction card
  6. Maintain a driver's licence without restriction
  7. Complete a sufficient pre-employment medical prior to commencement
