The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to lead the strategic and operational delivery activities of Council's Children Services to ensure the service meets the statutory regulations, standards and approved curriculum. 

As Children Services Coordinator, you will coordinate the delivery of services for Bandara Children Services, Eden Eary Learning Centre and Sapphire Mobile Preschool. You will provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of Council's Children's Services as well as work with relevant stakeholders to develop budgets and set fees.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Degree level qualifications in a relevant field such as Early Childhood Education, Developmental Psychology, Community Services, Business or other relevant area and has a minimum five (5) years management experience in a community-related sector, preferably in a field working with children and families. 

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Excellent financial management skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and monitor complex budgets.
  • Highly developed skills in human resource management, including experience in leading teams through funding reforms and times of change.
  • Excellent written communication skills including demonstrated experience in writing policies, funding applications, business cases and reports.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to plan and adapt services to meet demonstrated needs.

Benefits

This is a permanent, full time position working 35 hours per week.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $125,312.17 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $2,161.30 per week base salary
  • $248.55 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
