Location: Queanbeyan

The Package: $805.61 - $890.13 gross per week + 11.5% super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.

Part time – 23 hours per week till January 2026. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure that children utilising the Queanbeyan-Palerang Family Day Care Scheme are provided with age-appropriate environments and activities to support their development and wellbeing.
  • Ensure educators are selected, recruited, and trained in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and the scheme’s policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the culture of health and safety within Council.

 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has professional qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care (Diploma or Degree) and experience working in an Early Childhood Care setting.
  • Has the ability to provide a high level of customer service and advice.
  • Has knowledge of legislative and regulatory framework governing early childhood education and care.

Working with us: The successful candidate will join Council during an exciting period of development and play a key role in Council's child development services. They will observe the impact of their work on the local community and have access to learning and development opportunities available to staff.
