CELLAR DOOR HOST
Visiting the Henschke Cellar Door is more than a wine tasting – it’s a journey into over 150 years of family winemaking tradition in the Eden Valley region, the high country of the Barossa. Our highly regarded tasting experiences showcase exceptional wines, immerse guests in our story, and leave lasting memories.
We are seeking a Casual Cellar Door Host to join our passionate, hospitality-focused team, reporting to our Cellar Door Manager. You will also support our Brand Ambassador in hosting private tours, guiding guests through a personalised journey – including rare access to our historic vineyards, working winery tours and private tastings of our most revered single-vineyard wines.
About You
You are a natural storyteller, able to share the Henschke family history and winemaking philosophy with authenticity and enthusiasm. You understand that hospitality is at the heart of premium wine experiences and can confidently guide guests through tastings, engaging conversations and private tours.
You will bring energy, warmth and a genuine love of wine, helping every guest feel welcome and inspired.
Key Attributes & Experience
· Motivated and professional, with outstanding personal presentation
· Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Positive, collaborative team player
· Experience in Cellar Door or hospitality/events is highly regarded
· WSET level 1 and 2 (or equivalent) is preferred
· A current RSA and driver's licence are essential
Candidates must be flexible with working hours, including the availability to work Saturdays.
This role is perfect for someone seeking casual work – whether you are studying, looking to complement your current role, or eager to gain more experience in wine tourism and hospitality. We can offer 2–3 working days per week, with the possibility of additional hours during peak seasons and school holidays.
