About the role
Are you passionate about science and laboratory operations? Do you have experience in routine sampling and testing programs, and providing support for chemical/microbiological analyses and equipment calibration?
As a Technical Assistant, you will play an important role in assisting the Laboratory Manager by collecting, correlating, and analysing data. You will also be responsible for providing support to all staff in routine chemical/microbiological analyses and equipment calibration, performing administrative duties, and providing customer service support to laboratory clients.
To be considered, you must have Tertiary Qualifications in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience in laboratory operations, and hold a Class C Driver's Licence.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience in laboratory operations
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Demonstrated relevant experience in laboratory operations, including knowledge of Quality Assurance / Quality Control systems applicable to a NATA accredited laboratory
- Well-developed computer literacy, including experience in the accurate and timely use of systems as related to laboratory operations, including LIMS and Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
