About the Role
It's an exciting time for Wollondilly with major town centres being planned and built. With growth comes opportunity and Wollondilly Shire Council in partnership with the NSW Government have a Cadet Environmental Planning position available forming part of the 'fresh start for local government apprentices, trainees and cadets'.
The traineeship offers the chance to gain valuable on-the-job experience while you continue to complete your university studies. Working in a dynamic and supportive team, you will develop skills across all functions of the Environmental Services team including Planning, Waste Management, and engagement with the local community through a range of opportunities provided.
The successful candidate must demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:
- Currently enrolled or undertaking Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or equivalent
- Ability to develop an understanding of environmental planning and its application within the community
- Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Class C drivers licence
