Salary Range is $78,303- $98,656 + 11% Super (11.5% from 1 July 24)

We need a highly motivated Building Assessment Officer or Building Surveyor who can partner with our amazing team and work with our stakeholders to maintain compliance within the built environment.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Conduct comprehensive building surveys and assessments.
  • Identify and report on structural issues, safety hazards, and compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare details reports outline findings, recommendations, and remedial actions.
  • Administrator Residential Design Code requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet regulatory standards.
  • Perform inspections throughout the building and contraction stages.
  • Provide helpful and effective advice on interpretation of complex legislation, Standards, Local Laws, Acts and Regulations on building matters.

About You

  • Registered as a Building Surveying Practitioner under the Building (Registration) Regulations 2011. Or progress towards recognised Building Surveying qualification.
  • Industry experience in assessment of residential buildings and structures for compliance with Building Regulations, Codes, standards, Town Planning Scheme and relevant local laws.
  • Local Government experience in assessment of all residential buildings.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations, Codes, Standards, and relevant local laws.
  • Knowledge of building construction (practical, legal, and technical) and Building Industry administrative procedures.
