Building and Facilities Manager
Permanent Full Time
Salary from $130,748.14 per annum plus superannuation and an option of a motor vehicle equalization allowance ($10,450pa) OR a lease for private use of a motor vehicle. A 3.5% Civil Liability allowance may also apply. (Salary package will be negotiated based on skills, experience, and qualifications)

About the role:

Reporting to the Manager City Works the Building and Facilities Manager will oversee the strategic and operational management of our diverse portfolio of buildings and facilities. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about creating safe and productive spaces, this role is for you!

You will lead a talented team of 50 maintenance professionals, including project managers,

supervisors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters and administrative assistants. You'll work closely with

various community service managers and our infrastructure planning teams, fostering a culture of quality, efficiency and teamwork to deliver excellent customer service.

About you:

We are looking for a motivated and skilled professional with:

  • A degree qualification and significant experience in property and facility management in a multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading projects.
  • The ability to engage and motivate a highly skilled workforce.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • High-level organisational and time management abilities to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of current building and fire codes, asset and risk management systems, and environmental management as it relates to infrastructure works
