The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a qualified individual to perform and lead the delivery of pool operations, supervision, programming and customer service at Bega War Memorial Pool (seasonal) and Council managed facilities (as required), according to BVSC requirements.

As Bega War Memorial Supervisor, you will liaise with Operations Team Leader regarding BVSC facility maintenance, operations, equipment and water quality requirements as well as liaise with Aquatic Services Team Leader regarding administration, bookings, promotion, rostering and stock management. You will assist in supervising and implementing training and induction of staff working at BVSC aquatic facility/s.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds the following qualifications and licences;

  • Certificate IV in Sports, Aquatics & Recreation (desirable)
  • SISSS00111 - Pool Lifeguard Certificate and current RLSNSW Pool Lifeguard Licence
  • RLSNSW Approved Workplace Supervisor (or ability to obtain)
  • SISSS00112 - Swimming & Water Safety Teacher Qualification & Current Industry Registration
  • SISSS00131 - Aquatic Technical Operator (desirable)
  • HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Unit of Competency)
  • HLTAID011 - Provide first aid (Unit of Competency)
  • NSW Working with Children check
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence 

You will have the following skills and experience;

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in aquatic facility customer service, administration and supervision.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the safe operation, cleaning and maintenance of aquatic facilities.
  • Ability to provide appropriate pool supervision, first aid and emergency assistance for safe facility operation.

Benefits

This is a fixed term full time position working 38 hours per week for a period of 24 months, with the option for a 12 month extension.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $85,148.44 gross per annum, comprising of:

  • $1,475.20 per week base salary
  • $162.27 per week superannuation (calculated at 11%)
