About the role

As a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science, you will contribute to teaching and program development across undergraduate and postgraduate forensic science degrees. You will deliver high-quality teaching, coordinate subjects, and supervise students, while leading innovative subject and course development.

You will maintain an active research profile in forensic science, producing high-quality outputs and addressing applied research challenges. The role also involves building strong collaborations with industry, government, and academic partners to enhance the impact of your discipline.

At the UTS School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, we do research that matters, in an industry-oriented, multidisciplinary environment, linking fundamental research to practical problems. The School deliver's research which has impact on these major challenges facing society, together with educated and adaptable students who can contribute to their solution in a collaborative program of engagement with employers, industry and government.

About You

You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. You demonstrate research leadership and the ability to build collaborative partnerships across forensic science and related fields. You work both independently and as part of a team, contributing positively to shared goals. Other key selection criteria for this role include:

  • PhD in a forensic science field relevant to the research scope of the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach forensic science and the capacity to develop advanced programs of study.
  • Demonstrated and nationally recognised track record of research excellence and securing nationally competitive research grants.
  • Ability to provide supervision for Higher Degree Postgraduate and Honours students.
  • Demonstrated involvement in the wider academic and professional community.

What We Offer

Base Salary Range: $152,245 - $174,841 plus 17% superannuation (pension). 

The position is full-time and will be made on a continuing basis.
