We’re looking for a thoughtful, reliable support worker to assist two young people (teenage/young adult, supported separately) to live good, meaningful lives.
This is relationship-based support — not task-only work. The right person will care about doing things well, not just getting through a shift. The young people you’ll support are kind, funny, and come with some excellent pets.
The role
You’ll support daily living and community participation, including:
• Supporting completion of allied health therapy tasks
• Preparing food, life admin, and household chores
• Exploring social and community activities
No personal care duties are required.
This role would suit someone who:
• Listens with empathy and communicates calmly and respectfully
• Enjoys helping others build confidence, skills, and independence
• Is flexible and adapts their approach to suit the person
• Notices when things aren’t working and takes sensible action to improve support
• Values consistency, trust, and doing the right thing by the person
Hours
Wants a long term role
• 8–16 hours per week, most weeks
• Consistent shifts
