About the Opportunity

Roper Gulf Regional Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced individual for the position of Assets Maintenance Coordinator to join our Assets team based in Katherine, NT

The Assets Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for providing maintenance services for Roper Gulf Regional Council, buildings and infrastructure (e.g. offices, maintenance sheds, and equipment). The Assets Maintenance Coordinator will provide the Assets Manager with information to prepare and manage the councils Asset Management Plan, to manage and/or conduct regular and emergency maintenance on council’s building and infrastructure assets.

More specifically, your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Monitoring the Assets Maintenance Desk / Done Safe Database daily by receiving and processing maintenance requests in an efficient, effective, and cost-effective manner.
  • Undertake yearly condition reports on all Council Assets, then compile reports for the Assets Manager to be able to source required funding.
  • Coordinating processes and maintaining a scheduled maintenance program for all properties, including cost, timeliness, and effectiveness of the program
  • Prepare detailed reports to Management and/or Executive Management on the progress of authorised projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Trade Qualification or Certificate IV relevant to the industry or extensive knowledge and working experience in similar Discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure maintenance services and/or asset maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong computer literacy enabling competency in the use of corporate systems, data collection & entry and developing spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records and complete work orders, timesheets and reports with high attention to details.

 

Remuneration package includes:

  • Salary of $74,372.51 to $81,761.36per annum based on 38 hours per week (negotiated based on qualifications and experience).
  • Six weeks annual leave plus, 10 days sick leave and salary packaging option.
