About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Arborist /Tree Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to undertake operational arboricultural activities across Councils' diverse public tree population and contributing to creating a liveable community.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have completed an AQF Level 3 (Certificate III) in either horticulture or arboriculture. We are looking for someone who has recent experience delivering a variety of Arboriculture/Horticulture practices, including tree pruning and removal techniques. You will display highly developed communication skills and a proactive, positive and professional attitude. A working knowledge of employee obligations under Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Safe Work NSW Code of Practice - Amenity Tree Industry Standards is also essential.

A current National Licence to Perform High Risk Work (WP + Boom type elevated work platform) is desirable but not essential for this role.

On a typical day this role will:

• Work with the Vegetation Operations team to deliver tree services.
• Tree removals across the LGA.
• Ensure the planting schedule is delivered.
• Apply all the essential WHS to ensure safe working conditions.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full Time, 38 hours per week

Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $1155.20 per week with opportunity for competency-based progression + adverse working conditions allowance level 1
