Our Parks and Reserves Team have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team as an Apprentice Plant Operator. Under the guidance of the Supervisor and Ganger, you will learn to efficiently operate and maintain various plant for upkeep and maintenance of street verges, trees and gardens, sportsgrounds and more.

This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to undertake hands on experience in a work environment whilst completing a nationally recognised qualification.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have good communication skills both verbal and written;
  • Have experience working effectively in a team environment
  • Be able to demonstrate your ability to deal in a positive and courteous manner with the public and other workers.
  • Sound knowledge and practical application of WHS principles and the Work Health and Safety legislation
  • Have a basic level of understanding of horticulture or greenkeeping.
