  • Located in the fast growing Wollondilly LGA

About the Role

It's an exciting time for Wollondilly with major town centres being planned and built. With growth comes opportunity and Wollondilly Shire Council in partnership with the NSW Government have an Apprentice Parks and Recreation position available forming part of the 'fresh start for local government apprentices, trainees and cadets'.

Are you passionate about the outdoors and ready to kick-start your career in Parks & Gardens? This exciting opportunity provides you the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience while earning qualifications in the field. This full-time, fixed-term role combines practical, on-the-job learning with formal training, guiding you towards a qualification in Parks & Gardens.

The successful candidate must demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Ability and commitment to undertake Apprenticeship in Parks and Gardens (4-year term)
  • General Induction Construction Card (White Card) or willingness to obtain
  • Basic understanding of Work, Health and Safety
  • Valid provisional or Class C drivers licence
