About the Opportunity

Working on projects and tasks that matter to our community, your apprenticeship will include working on major water and wastewater infrastructure; treatment plants, pump stations, dams, reservoir’s, pipelines, valves, and chemical dosing installations.
Delivery of the Certificate III Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) course will take place at Taree TAFE.
Whether you are a school-leaver, re-entering the workforce or an adult simply wishing to change careers this a great opportunity.
What we are looking for individuals who are:
- Willing to work and learn on the job
- Eager to learn and ask questions and self-motivated
- Great team members with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Focused on working safely, both for yourself and others.
- Able to commit to study requirements and completion of all training in a timely and organised manner.
- Hold a current Drivers License (Red P’s or more)
- Able to comply with uniform and PPE requirements – even at TAFE.

Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
Weekly starting salary $651 to $808 (depending on your highest year of schooling completed and number years since you finished school).
Allowances: Adverse working conditions 1 / Sewer Choke Allowance / Tool Allowance
You must be an Australian/NZ citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident; no visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.
