Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.

APPRENTICE MECHANIC (Permanent Term appointment – 4 Years)

The apprentice mechanic will work under the direct supervision of the Workshop Team Leader and other workshop staff in maintaining and repairing Council’s fleet and small plant items. This apprenticeship is not restricted to recent school leavers but is available to anyone who is interested in a career in Motor Mechanics and who is confident of meeting the academic study requirements.

Hours of work: 38 hours per week. 

Salary and conditions: Remuneration offered will be in accordance with clause 32C wage rates of the Local Government (State) Award 2023 (depending on age).
