Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
APPRENTICE GARDENER (Permanent Term appointment – 4 years)
Under the direction of the Overseer Parks & Gardens/Team Leader; maintain a neat and high standard of appearance of gardens and lawns together with providing gardening labouring skills as required, and help promote the image of Council and the Operations Department as both efficient and courteous.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will require a General Construction Induction Card. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.
Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require knowledge of general gardening practices, turf maintenance, and basic pruning practices.
Hours of work: 38 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: Remuneration offered will be in accordance with clause 32C wage rates of the Local Government (State) Award 2023 (depending on age).
