Apprentice Carpenter

Are you passionate about carpentry and looking to kick-start your career? We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Carpenter commencing January 2025 and we want you to join our team.
Based in our Jerilderie Depot, you will work alongside our Building and Maintenance Supervisor developing your skills while working towards a nationally recognised Cert III Carpentry.
Under the mentorship of the Building and Maintenance Supervisor, and in collaboration with other experienced technicians, you will learn and develop valuable skills in areas such as:
- Gain hands-on experience in carpentry through on-the-job training with qualified carpenters.
- Learn various carpentry techniques, such as framing, installing fixtures, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
- Analyse blueprints, codes, and instructions to understand project requirements.
- Determine material quantities needed for projects to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Ensure accurate and high-quality workmanship in all tasks.
The successful candidate
A key requirement for this opportunity is your commitment and motivation to complete your trade over a four-year fixed term. This includes theoretical blocks of training, most likely in Wagga Wagga.

- An ongoing commitment to safety, quality and principles of continuous improvement
