About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Applications Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management, support, and administration of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s suite of core applications, including ERP systems, integrations, and reporting tools. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our application infrastructure to support the Council's service delivery.

To succeed in this role you will have:

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience of 3+ years.
• Proven experience in administering and supporting enterprise-level applications such as ERP systems, integration platforms, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide support and training to users of varying technical proficiencies.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an IT team and engage constructively with external vendors.

On a typical day this role will:

• Perform routine checks and maintenance of core applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Administer and troubleshoot application issues escalated from the ICT service desk.
• Monitor system performance indicators and take proactive measures to ensure application health.
• Assist with the deployment of new applications and enhancements, including testing and roll-out.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week

Salary: In range of $96,288 to $108,382 depending on skills and experience + 11.5% superannuation
