About the Opportunity

At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this we are seeking an experienced Applications Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management, support, and administration of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council’s suite of core applications, including ERP systems, integrations, and reporting tools. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our application infrastructure to support the Council's service delivery.

To succeed in this role you will have:

 

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience of 3+ years.
  • Proven experience in administering and supporting enterprise-level applications such as ERP systems, integration platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide support and training to users of varying technical proficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an IT team and engage constructively with external vendors.

On a typical day this role will:

  • Perform routine checks and maintenance of core applications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Administer and troubleshoot application issues escalated from the ICT service desk.
  • Monitor system performance indicators and take proactive measures to ensure application health.
  • Assist with the deployment of new applications and enhancements, including testing and roll-out.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week

Salary: In range of $96,288 to $108,382 depending on skills and experience + 11.5% superannuation
