About the Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and professional individual to join our Airport Services team in Onslow.

In this multifunctional role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of Onslow Airport operations. Your primary responsibility will be conducting passenger and baggage screening in line with aviation security legislation and standards. When screening duties do not account for a full 40-hour week, your remaining time will be allocated to supporting Airport Reporting Officer (ARO) duties as well as grounds and building maintenance.

While ARO certification is not a requirement, obtaining it will enable you to undertake a broader range of duties, including airfield inspections and wildlife hazard management. Training can be provided for those interested in gaining ARO certification.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a current Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or Certificate II in Security Operations.
  • Be available to work a rotating roster, including early mornings and split shifts. While weekend shifts are rare, occasional weekend flights may require coverage.
  • Have the ability to successfully pass drug and alcohol screening and medical assessments.
  • Be able to obtain and hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).

This position offers a competitive remuneration package and six weeks’ annual leave. All terms and conditions are as per the Shire of Ashburton Enterprise Agreement 2022.

For further information regarding this exciting opportunity, please contact Megan Walsh, Manager Airport Services on 08 9153 2000.
