The Opportunity
We are looking for a passionate Airport Reporting Officer to join our Airport Team. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) Part 139, Aerodrome Manuals and the applicable Safety Management Systems in place at the East Kimberley Regional Airport (EKRA).
Your responsibilities will include
- Carrying out allocated works programs and undertaking minor repairs of services associated with airport pavements, runways, markers, line markings, lighting, drains, wind indicators, visual slope indicator systems, fencing and other critical systems, grounds and other facilities at Kununurra and Wyndham Airports as per the Manual of Standards (MOS) 139 and Aerodrome Manual;
- Maintaining the terminal and airside security control in accordance with the Aviation Transport Security Act (ATSA) 2004, Aviation Transports Security Regulations (ATSR) 2005 and Kununurra Airport Transport Security Program (TSP). Including managing airside access, escorts and issuing of Visitor Identification Cards (VIC);
- Enforcing the provisions of the Safety Management System (SMS), so as to ensure all persons operating Airside, and specifically within Aircraft movement areas, operate in a safe and responsible manner;
- Ensuring all gardens and lawns (both airside and landside), open areas (landside), and airport terminal/s and facilities are maintained and presented to a high standard at all times;
- Monitoring and enforcing ASIC compliance requirements and airside vehicle control in accordance with the Airport Manual and TSP.
A current Senior First Aid, current unrestricted WA “C” Class Drivers Licence, current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), current Aerodrome Reporting Officer & Aerodrome Works Safety Officer Certificate from an approved authority, current Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency and current White Construction Safety Card are essential for this role.

We are offering a remuneration inclusive of allowances and Superannuation between $92,000 to $96,000 (dependent on skills and experience) per annum.
