About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team to assist with the operation of the Council’s accounts payable system, general finance support and related functions. This is a permanent, full-time role and is located at Council’s Administration Office in Moruya.

 

The starting salary for this position is $64,232.20 gross per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.

About you

Are you looking to expand your finance skills within a collaborative and fast paced team environment? Your previous experience with computerised creditors or similar systems, will enable you to demonstrate your independent and organised method of operating. To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience using computerised creditors or similar systems in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, organise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Goods and Services Tax and Fringe Benefits Tax.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with clear ability to liaise with suppliers and staff in a professional manner.
  • Analytical and problem resolving skills.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50wpm.
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service.
