Meaningful Work | Real Growth | A Truly Unique Environment

We’re looking for experienced, reliable Disability Support Workers who enjoy meaningful, practical support work in program‑based environments.

This opportunity brings together skill‑building programs, outdoor activities, community connection, and hands‑on learning across two unique NWDS sites in Richmond ✨ The Secret Garden and Opal Cottage

If you’re steady, skilled, and motivated by seeing people grow, learn, and achieve real progress in their everyday lives, this role will suit you.

❤️ What You’ll Be Doing

Imagine a job where:

  • You’re delivering consistent, person‑centred support
  • You’re providing safe, steady guidance as participants learn new skills and build confidence
  • You’re assisting with daily routines, meaningful activities, and community engagement
  • You’re helping participants develop independence through hands‑on learning and supported programs
  • You’re contributing to long‑term improvements in quality of life

You’ll be supporting people across our Richmond sites and in the community — helping them grow, participate, and thrive. Some moments are simple. Some are busy. All of it has purpose.

❤️ What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in disability support or community services
  • A warm, steady, participant‑focused approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability — consistency is essential at both sites
  • Willingness to support outdoor, hands‑on, and skill‑building activities
  • A genuine interest in helping participants grow, learn, and achieve their goals

If you’re someone who enjoys variety, fresh air, and purpose‑driven work — you’ll fit right in.

❤️ What’s Awesome About Working With Us

  • Flexible shifts that fit around your life
  • A supportive team with on‑site leaders and experienced staff
  • Unique, inspiring work environments
  • Real variety — no two days look the same
  • Opportunities to gain experience in horticulture‑based programs, community engagement, and skill‑building activities
  • A respected organisation with 40+ years of service to the community

✔️ Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Certificate III/IV (or working towards) in Disability, Individual Support, or Community Services
  • Driver’s licence
