About the role

As a Kennel Hand, you will play an important role in supporting our veterinary and nursing teams while ensuring the comfort, cleanliness and welfare of our patients.

Key responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of kennels, hospital wards and equipment

• Assisting with animal handling and restraint as required

• Monitoring patient comfort, hygiene and wellbeing

• Supporting nurses and veterinarians with general clinic duties

• Cleaning and maintaining treatment and patient areas

• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

• Following clinic protocols and infection-control procedures

About you

• Previous experience with animal handling and restraint is preferred

• Experience in a veterinary clinic, kennel or animal-care environment is highly regarded

• A calm and confident approach around animals of varying temperaments

• Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail

• Reliable, punctual and willing to take direction

• Comfortable working as part of a busy team

• Physically capable of handling the demands of the role

• A genuine interest in animal welfare and patient care
