EXPERIENCED RECEPTIONIST
Full Time or Permanent Part-Time – Goulburn Office
RMB Lawyers, a substantial regionally based law firm with 18 offices across NSW and the ACT, is seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our busy Goulburn office on a full time or permanent part-time basis.
This is a key front-of-house role, supporting our centralised telephone system while also managing day-to-day reception and office support duties to ensure our clients receive an exceptional first impression.
Telephone & Client Contact
· Answering incoming calls seamlessly on behalf of all RMB Lawyers’ offices.
· Directing calls efficiently to the appropriate teams and locations.
· Managing high call volumes with professionalism and composure.
· Recording accurate messages and ensuring timely follow-up.
· Providing a courteous, calm and professional telephone manner at all times.
Reception & Front-of-House Duties
· Welcoming clients and visitors to the office and notifying staff of arrivals.
· Managing meeting room bookings and ensuring rooms are presentable.
· Maintaining a professional and well-organised reception area.
· Handling incoming and outgoing mail, couriers and deliveries.
· Assisting with basic client enquiries and directing visitors appropriately.
Administrative Support
· Providing general reception and administrative support as required.
· Assisting with document handling, scanning and filing.
· Supporting the broader administration team to ensure smooth office operations include safe custody entry and retrieval.
· Liaising with other RMB offices and administrative staff as needed.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
· Has previous experience as a receptionist and/or telephonist, ideally in a busy, professional environment.
· Is confident using 3CX or similar IP telephony systems (or willing to learn).
· Has exceptional communication skills and a warm, professional manner.
· Presents professionally and understands the importance of first impressions.
· Thrives on multitasking and staying organised in a fast-paced environment.
· Has strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellent client service.
· Is reliable, punctual and works well both independently and as part of a team.
· Is comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
Experience in a legal or professional services environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.
