Housed within a beautifully restored 1922 Cold Store, Union Bridge is a Prohibition-themed Brewery, Distillery, and Restaurant offering a distinctive culinary and hospitality experience.

We're searching for a motivated Lead Chef to help grow our already highly regarded kitchen in the Adelaide Hills. In this key, hands on role, you will work side-by-side with heads of departments, inspiring a small and energetic team while helping to shape our seasonal menus and deliver an exceptional dining experience.

About the Role

• Drive Menu Innovation and create exceptional dining experiences

• Develop and grow the kitchen with creativity and professionalism

• Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and cost control

• Take ownership of inventory management, supply ordering, prep oversight, menu planning and innovation

• Work closely with the Venue Manager

• Foster a positive, hands-on training environment for junior staff

• Promote a culture of balance, teamwork, and high standards

What We're Looking For

• Previous Sous Chef or Head Chef experience essential

• Minimum 1-2 years of Head Chef experience required

• Creative flair with a desire to push the boundaries.

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery & Food Safety Certification

• Food Safety Certification can be obtained within 30 days of hiring if not currently held

• Strong communication skills and an ability to foster a respectful relationship between the kitchen and FOH teams

• Experience in a premium dining environment

• Confident in developing, costing and implementing creative seasonal menus

• Availability to work across a 5 day roster with primarily day shifts and only working occasional nights..

• Passionate about food, leadership, and a balanced lifestyle

• Must have valid Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
