About the role: 

Playing a crucial role in helping to maintain the accounts and administrative function within the business you will be responsible for payroll, financial reporting, liaising with external accountants, and general business administrative requirements. You will be working in a structured and organised business with established processes that will make the job a breeze. Supported by a knowledgeable and down to earth management team and extensive training will be provided to ensure you are successful within the role.  Flexible regarding part-time work leading to full-time.

Responsibilities of the role: 

  • Set up and prepare weekly payroll in Xero 

  • Receipt and payment of creditor invoices 

  • Screen, manage and distribute inbound Calls 

  • Screen, manage and distribute inbound Emails 

  • Purchasing of amenities and office supplies 

  • Preparation of cashflow forecasting for directors 

  • Monthly evaluation of P&L statements 

  • Ongoing review of rates for business insurance and payment of insurance premiums 

  • Preparation and submission of 3 monthly BAS statements 

  • Generate Monthly Invoices 

  • Management of Workcover claims  

  • Preparation of Regional Tax Concession 

  • Prepare, set-up and pay employee super contributions 

  • Ongoing follow up of unpaid invoices 

  • Administration management of fleet vehicles 

  • Management of professional memberships 

About you:  

  • High Level of attention to detail 

  • Experience working with Xero Software 

  • Experience working with project management and HR management software 

  • Understanding of financial statements 

  • Experience in preparing BAS, PAYG and annual financial packages 

  • Understanding of regional tax concessions (Desirable) 

  • General understanding of business cashflow analytics 

  • Understanding of the IncoLink and CoInvest industry frameworks 

  • Experience working in a construction/ manufacturing company 

  • Knowledge of Workcover claims and dealing with insurance companies 

Hours of work.

  • QSW is offering this position for the first six months of employment at five days per week, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm (6 hours per day).

    This role is a backfill for an employee on maternity leave, with the intention of identifying a suitable candidate who is interested in transitioning to a three-day-per-week schedule following the initial six-month period.
