Blazetech is a progressive fire servicing company on the Gold Coast and with strong growth in the last year we are in the need for a Sprinkler tech to join us.

We are looking for a suitable qualified Sprinkler technician / trades person ready to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Service, test, and maintain:

• Fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action)

• Fire hydrant and hose reel systems

• Fire service pump sets (diesel and electric)

• Fire Detection and warning systems

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with AS1851 and other relevant Australian Standards.

• Use Uptick to manage service reports, log maintenance actions, and ensure accurate compliance documentation.

• Identify and rectify system faults, providing high-level diagnostics and solutions.

• Communicate professionally with clients, site representatives, and internal teams.

• Participate in after-hours call-out roster as required.

• Mentor junior technicians when needed and contribute to maintaining high standards across the team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Licensed Sprinkler Fitter with significant industry experience (minimum 5+ years preferred).

• QBCC Fire Sprinkler licence is required for this position.

• Extensive experience in the service and maintenance of fire sprinkler, hydrant, and hose reel systems.

• In-depth understanding of fire service pump sets and associated controls.

• Strong understanding of AS1851 and relevant compliance frameworks.

• Construction White Card.

• Current manual driver's license.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
