This highly regarded Tasmanian business with a strong reputation for delivering quality plumbing and hydraulic services across commercial, industrial and residential construction projects. With a solid project pipeline and continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the team and take ownership of project delivery from commencement through to completion. This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to work alongside a committed team, build strong client relationships and contribute to the ongoing success of a respected local contractor.

Your new role

Reporting to the Managing Director and working alongside the current Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of project delivery from award to handover
  • Monitoring project budgets, profitability, forecasting and cost control measures
  • Reviewing and managing project variations, progress claims and contract administration requirements
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and key project stakeholders
  • Managing construction programmes and ensuring project milestones are achieved
  • Conducting risk assessments and proactively addressing project challenges
  • Leading project meetings and maintaining clear communication with clients and consultants
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, industry regulations and company standards
  • Supporting project administrators, site teams and apprentices to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery and operational performance

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in construction project management, ideally within plumbing, hydraulics, services or commercial construction
  • Diploma in Building and Construction, Project Management, Business or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, subcontract agreements and contract administration processes
  • Proven experience managing project costs, programmes, variations and commercial outcomes
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and relevant job management systems
  • Experience using Simpro is an advantage.
  • Current White Card and driving licence
