We are looking for a reliable and motivated Storeperson to join our team in a permanent part‑time position. This role plays an important part in supporting hospital operations by ensuring the effective purchasing, storage and distribution of supplies across all departments.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance/Stores Supervisor, the Storeperson is responsible for the timely and cost‑effective management of hospital consumables, contributing to safe, efficient and high‑quality patient care.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Purchasing, ordering and warehousing common‑use consumables in consultation with department heads

  • Maintaining adequate stock levels and ensuring appropriate stock rotation

  • Assisting with the annual stocktake process

  • Completing general stores and related duties as required

  • Working collaboratively and cooperatively within a team environment

  • Providing relief for the Maintenance/Stores Supervisor during periods of leave when required

About You

The successful applicant will:

  • Have previous experience working in a health service or similar environment

  • Be able to work independently and under supervision

  • Demonstrate good organisational skills, attention to detail and time management

  • Communicate effectively and build positive working relationships

  • Show a strong commitment to confidentiality, workplace safety, and hospital policies and procedures
