About the role

Tassie Kids Dental is seeking an experienced, part-time Receptionist who is also a qualified Dental Assistant to join our team in Hobart.

What you'll be doing

• All aspects of Reception, and more specifically:

  • Working with children, and those adults in special needs space

  • Responsibility to communicate directly with families, and referring health care professionals

  • Management of stock, and ordering responsibility

  • Working in day surgery facilities under general anaesthetic when needed

  • Booking hospital admissions and follow-up after surgery

  • Preparing reports

What we're looking for

• Completion of a Dental Assisting Certificate 3

• Working with Children and Vulnerable people check

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to put patients at ease and build trust. Ability to work as part of hospital team.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control

• Proficient in using dental equipment and software, with the ability to adapt to new technologies

• A genuine interest in oral health and a desire to contribute to the wellbeing of children

• Flexibility to work part-time hours, approx 30-36 hours per week.
