What your day could look like
In this role, you'll help strengthen clinical practice across the Darling Downs by supporting nurses and midwives to deliver safe, confident, and person-centred care. Working closely with educators and clinical leaders, you'll foster a learning-focused environment that directly benefits patients, teams, and the wider community.
Each day, you'll make a difference by:
Working alongside clinicians in practice, helping build confidence and translate knowledge into quality care.
Supporting skill and competency development through coaching, observation, and constructive feedback.
Contributing to safer care by reinforcing standards and supporting quality improvement initiatives.
Partnering with leaders and educators to align learning activities with service and workforce priorities.
Let's talk about you!
You're a clinician who enjoys bringing out the best in others. You lead with compassion, communicate with clarity, and act with integrity and courage. You're proud of the role you play in helping clinicians grow, from building confidence to strengthening capability, because you know that strong teams create better outcomes for patients and communities. You see learning as a shared journey and value collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
What will help you do well in this role:
Current, or eligible, registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant professional body.
Strong clinical experience with the ability to guide, coach, and assess practice.
Confident communication skills and a collaborative, supportive approach.
A genuine commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
You'll be highly regarded if you have experience supporting clinical learning in regional or diverse settings and/or hold postgraduate qualifications or education-focused training.
Above all, you'll reflect the values at the heart of Darling Downs Health, compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation, and courage, helping build capable teams and safer care for our communities.
