Closes: Jul 10, 2026
We are seeking a Deputy Campus Principal to join our welcoming Illawarra Campus, commencing in Term 1, 2027!
The Campus:
OneSchool Global Illawarra Campus, located in Darkes Forest, is set amongst expansive bushland and rural surrounds, providing a unique and tranquil learning environment. The campus features modern, purpose-built facilities and open learning spaces designed to support innovative, future-focused teaching practices. Technology is seamlessly integrated across all classrooms to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students for a rapidly evolving world.
With approximately 170 students across both primary and secondary, the campus maintains a strong small-school culture, enabling personalised learning and close community connections. The campus is currently entering a planned phase of growth, with enrolments projected to increase by almost 100 additional students over the next seven years, reflecting both community demand and strategic development
The Position:
As the Deputy Campus Principal, you will be responsible for the management and professional leadership of the campus on a day-to-day basis, working in close partnership with the Assistant Campus Principal, Campus Student Support Lead and Primary Lead Teacher to ensure effective administration, high standards of teaching and learning, and the consistent implementation of the school’s policies and programs. The role maintains a strong focus on developing students as self-directed learners. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity reporting directly to the Campus Principal. A Secondary teaching load is associated with this role.
In this role you will be expected to:
- Work collaboratively with the Assistant Campus Principal to manage the administration of the campus.
- Support and uphold the School's Ethos, Values and Guiding Principles.
- Provide professional and instructional leadership, ensuring the school curriculum is delivered in line with Australian Curriculum requirements across Years 3–12.
- In association with the Campus Principal and Campus Support Team, plan and manage the school budget within agreed parameters.
- Drive improved student achievement and engagement across all year levels.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will demonstrate substantial secondary school leadership experience, with a strong track record in leading teaching and learning, curriculum implementation, and staff development within a secondary setting.
Candidates must have proven experience in secondary sub-school or campus-level leadership, with the capability to lead both operational and educational priorities. Experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and driving student achievement in Years 7–12 is essential.
While OneSchool programs are designed within an Australian context, experience working with NESA-accredited courses and regulatory requirements, particularly in Years 11–12, is highly desirable. Experience serving as a Head of Department (or equivalent middle leadership role) will be highly regarded.
Applicants must bring established leadership expertise and the confidence to contribute immediately to the strategic and day-to-day leadership of the campus. Strong alignment with whole-campus priorities, including Learning to Learn and student engagement, will be critical to success in this role.
