About the role

Proactive Environmental Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Landscaper - Leading Hand to join our growing team in Mount Barker, SA. This full-time role will see you lead a small team in the delivery of high-quality landscaping projects for our valued clients. The role is based in Mount Barker but we have projects across Adelaide, the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Adelaide Hills Region.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate a team of landscapers to ensure efficient and effective project delivery

• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and develop landscaping plans

• Prepare quotes and estimates for landscaping projects

• Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment needed for projects

• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards

• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to more junior team members

• Maintain detailed records and provide progress updates to management

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 3-5 years landscaping experience required for this leading hand position

• Someone with experience leading and supervising small teams

• 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience required

• Strong working knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members

• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and drawings

• Sound understanding of relevant industry regulations and safety requirements

• Highly organised with a keen eye for detail

• A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional results

MINIMUM requirements for applying for this role include:

• Industry White card

• Physically fit with good endurance

Desirable requirements for applying for this role include:

• Earthwork machinery tickets eg skid steer, excavator

• Computer and app use skills

• Cert 3 in Landscape Construction
