Brodie’s Magic is a family-governed, service-for-one organisation supporting Brodie—a vibrant young man who loves music, singing, dancing, swimming, cycling, technology, and the outdoors.
We focus on high-quality, active person-centred support, delivered by a small, committed team working closely with family and allied health professionals.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, active role supporting Brodie in daily life, building independence, communication, and engagement.
You’ll need to be someone who:

Takes initiative and thinks ahead

Actively engages (not just supervises)

Brings energy, reliability, and a positive attitude
This is an active, engaging role—you’ll be joining in with music, movement, and fun as part of daily support.
Shifts
Shifts are generally
-
Weekdays: 7:00am-9:00am and/or 3:00pm–7pmpm
-
Weekends: 7am-1pm and 1pm–8pm (occasionally later)
-
School holidays: Additional hours available (ideal for students)
-
Sleepovers: Occasional overnight shifts required
-
Minimum 2–3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
-
Support daily routines, personal care, and community access
-
Follow behavioural support and therapy plans
-
Actively engage Brodie in his interests—music, singing, dancing, swimming, and being active (you’ll need to be comfortable supporting in the water)

Support communication using AAC and assistive technology
-
Work alongside family and allied health professionals
-
Maintain clear, accurate shift notes

Confidence working independently and in a team

Commitment to high-quality, person-centred support
Entry-Level / Students:

Studying (or interested in) disability, nursing or allied health

Willingness to learn and take direction

Confidence to step in, help out, and take initiative

Reliable with a strong work ethic
