About the role

This is a part-time position (30 hours per week), fixed term until 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension, located in Queanbeyan

The position provides clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of recovery-oriented, evidence-based practice for consumers experiencing substance use concerns and co-occurring mental health challenges.

You will support continuous quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of clinical excellence, reflective practice, and harm minimisation. You will also contribute to service development, clinical governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen integrated care pathways and improve health, wellbeing, and recovery outcomes for consumers, families, and carers accessing AOD support.

Skills & Experience

  1. Qualification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related discipline, with current professional registration or accreditation (e.g. AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, ACA, or equivalent).
  2. Minimum three years’ post-graduate experience in alcohol and other drug (AOD), mental health, or related community health services.
  3. Demonstrated advanced clinical experience delivering holistic, evidence-based interventions for people with complex and co-occurring needs, including assessment, risk management, care planning, therapeutic interventions, and referral coordination.
  4. Demonstrated leadership experience within a multidisciplinary team, including clinical leadership, case review, mentoring, supervision, and contribution to performance management processes.
