Risk Manager – IT / Transformation Programs (Senior Specialist)

Anticipated Commencement: New FY | Likely start August

We are seeking expressions of interest for a senior Risk Manager to support a complex portfolio of IT and transformation initiatives.

This is not a compliance, assurance, or project support role. The role requires an experienced risk professional who operates with authority at senior executive level and can lead robust discussion and challenge on risk exposure, mitigation, and delivery trade‑offs with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current NV1 Security Clearance

• Extensive experience managing risk across multiple concurrent IT projects or programs with competing priorities

• Proven experience advising senior executives on risk posture, tolerance, and residual risk

• Strong practical application of enterprise / program risk management frameworks

Role Focus

• Own and govern risk across a portfolio of IT initiatives

• Identify, prioritise, and actively manage strategic and delivery risks

• Provide clear, defensible risk advice to executive and governance forums

• Lead constructive challenge on risk acceptance and mitigation with external and internal stakeholders

• Ensure risk is actively managed and owned—not treated as a reporting exercise

About You

You are a senior risk specialist with strong judgement, gravitas, and the ability to influence decisions in high‑pressure, complex delivery environments.
