About The Glen Group
The Glen Group operates two award-winning residential rehabilitation centres – The Glen for Men and The Glen for Women, based on the Central Coast of NSW.
Our programs treat clients holistically, which means physically, emotionally, spiritually and culturally. We don’t just treat their addiction; we also look at things in their life that may be causing the addictive behaviours. Our program is about empowering people to take control of their lives, to live a good, fun life and to become active members of their families and the community.
About the role
This is a casual position.
Since 1 July 2025, The Glen Group has established the INFO team which supports clients on their journey pre and post residential treatment. INFO stands for:
- Intake & Assessment
- Navigator (support when clients have applied, and while they wait for treatment)
- Family, Carer’s & Friends
- Outreach (aftercare)
INFO officers are based at The Glen, but provide services across NSW, particularly Western NSW. INFO officers play a vital and important role, being the first point of contact for clients reaching out for help. The purpose of the role is to:
- Conduct suitability assessments of clients who apply for residential treatment
- Understand the needs of clients and link them with appropriate services (i.e. navigate that system)
- Provide basic case management for family, carer’s and friends of clients
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- Understanding of AOD and other health services
- Good relationship building skills
- Ability to build trust with clients, community and service providers
- Client-centred, culturally grounded and strength-based case management approaches
- Ability to case manage yourself
- Leadership & communication skills (written and verbal)
- Be a great listener
- Good computer & technology skills (including the ability to use Client Management System)
- Ability to provide solutions when you identify a problem
- Ability to plan your work, and manage your priorities, focus and time
- Ability to travel (inc. arranging travel and being flexible)
- Understanding of risk
- Attention to details
- Base decisions on facts.
