We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join a professional accounting team in Mackay on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns and client reports.

• Assist with the administration and accounting requirements of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs).

• Support month-end and year-end accounting activities.

• Work alongside senior accountants to deliver accurate and timely client outcomes.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

• Develop technical knowledge across a range of accounting and taxation matters.

• Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders as required.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• Experience with accounting software and cloud-based accounting systems.

• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

• Good written and verbal communication abilities.

• A positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
